Data from Growing Together show that most Christians who are in discipleship communities (56%) tend to find this community at church.

Beyond this common ground, family members (33%) and mutual friends (25%) also foster discipleship connections. Other Christians team up with fellow disciples at work (18%), through a Christian group outside their church (17%) or even through relationships from childhood (21%).
