Overall, three in five U.S. adults (60%) report having given to a charitable organization (including churches and houses of worship) within the year.

Barna also surveyed a group of what we’ll call “high-capacity givers”—U.S. adults making at least $300,000—and found the moniker is apt: Nearly everybody in this group (96%) engages in annual charitable giving.
