This week in The Barna Minute, we’re taking a look at how many churchgoers say they're waiting for church services to return to normal before they return.

While churches across the nation are in different stages of gathering due to COVID-19—ranging from solely in-person to solely digital with a mix of COVID precautions in between—American churchgoers have mixed feelings on when they should return to church. In fact, data show that a majority of U.S. churchgoers (55%) say they are waiting for church services to return back to normal before they themselves return to church.
