This week’s Barna Minute reveals if urban churches are more engaged with their local communities than nonurban churches.

Barna’s report, Inside the Urban Church, found that in the metropolitan areas included in the study, urban church congregations appear to be more locally engaged than nonurban church congregations. Urban churchgoers readily agree with the statement, “My church is addressing issues facing the local community” (42% very true, 47% somewhat true). Nonurban churchgoers are less likely to say this is “very true” (34%) of their churches.
