This week in The Barna Minute, we’re discovering which three topics Black adults say are the most valuable for pastors to preach about from the pulpit.

When it comes to understanding the interests of the diverse Church body attending services across the U.S., it’s important to know which sermon topics resonate most among different races and ethnicities. This knowledge allows church leaders to serve their whole congregation well. So which sermon topics are valued most by Black adults in America? Data show that, similar to the general population, Black adults most often say they want to hear their pastor teach on  how to read, interpret or understand the Bible (30%), the gospel (24%) and morality and values (24%).
