Lesson 2: What if Christians Were More Like Museum Guides?
Before watching the video, engage with the necessary prompts in the leader's guide.
In this session, participants are encouraged to consider a new approach to engaging the spiritually curious by acting as guides rather than lecturers. Unlike a traditional sermon, which is often a one-way communication, spiritually curious individuals are seeking a dynamic and interactive experience, more like a museum tour where they can explore, ask questions and discover at their own pace.
Drawing on Barna's research, the session discusses ways churches can adopt this “museum model” for spiritual engagement. By shifting towards this guided, curiosity-driven approach, churches can provide a more inviting space for people to explore faith authentically and connect meaningfully, without feeling pressured or judged.
